What Would You Wear To The Met Gala? | #MetGalaChallenge

by Jatin Gandhi

Due to the corona virus, the annual Met Gala got postponed. So, I stumbled upon a virtual event called High Fashion Twitter Met Gala on Time website, to show off their looks, moldboards, illustrations of what they would wear to the Met Gala. It was organized by Aria Olson and I decided to take up this challenge and it sounds fun. The Met also created a viral challenge called the #MetGalaChallenge.

May the shift change, We are in the course of transition.
We all get nervous when we are doing something for the first time, or something we have never embraced before. That amazing feeling when you don’t even think about being anxious and feeling free inside-out around people. As cliche as it may sound, we are in self-doubt until we take the risks and chances.

Brands like Versace, Gucci, Fendi, Calvin Klein, Urban Outfitters, Dolce & Gabbana, Dollskill and many more, are breaking the stereotypes with new trends, new collections and so on. I’m excited to bring the change in Men’s Fashion with more possibilities. These brands never fail to inspire and impress me with their exquisite collections. Moreover, their collections inspired me to create this new look breaking the stereotypes in Men’s Fashion.

The looks can be queer or straight, but there’s always an underlying balance. There are people who don’t give a damn about what people think, people who don’t care whether it’s queer or straight. I love people who break the rules and focus on the self. Self-confidence and self-esteem are pretty important not only for men but also women.

However, We are in a transition from one season to another, which accordingly, changes our instinct towards the outfits. I am talking about the constant development of our choices, our looks, over the seasons of time. So do we make sure that we feel comfortable and be confident.

Well, I discovered something new after a series of trials of misfortunes and conflict until it brought out the best out of me. Fashion is always about exploring new things.

Don’t despair as there is plenty of stuff I have got in here for you. Jewellery haven’t been culturally associated with men these days, but I believe it’s gonna be a major, timeless trend. I believe Jewellery can highlight and adorn your whole look into next level.

It’s difficult to express when it’s something queer, but they are becoming unconventional and experimental. We all have our own purpose. It could be me or you becoming a spotlight unless it’s something eccentric.

Women have borrowed their boyfriend’s jeans, t-shirts, and now they will be after jewellery too. Sounds futuristic and androgynous.

So wear it like it’s a big moment and live it like there’s no tomorrow.

I believe it doesn’t matter whether it’s masculine or feminine as long as you know how to pull off the look. It’s a reflection of an individual’s perception, personality and the style you possess with the world.

I wore floral shirt paired with white pants and my mom’s Jewelry – Pearl long necklace to spruce my whole look. I love how adding a Jewelry can make you look luxurious and neat. So, I tried to pull off this look that look as exquisite as celebrities wore for the Met Gala. This look can be worn for Met Gala, Awards Show, Weddings, Date night, Anniversary, or any other special occasions.

Look 1: You can wear a hair clip as a brooch or brooch on your plain/floral shirt.
Look 2: Leave your shirt open with 2-3 buttons and wear a necklace for sophisticated look.
Look 3: Button up your shirt and wear a pearl necklace to spice up your look.
